Recently, a reporter visited Fujian Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber Technology Co., Ltd., located in Chengnan Industrial Park, Chengguan Town, Youxi County. Inside the workshop, threads are wrapped around the steel components of the machines, and after special processing, they can repel mosquitoes, resist bacteria, deodorize, provide sun protection, and resist mold... All production equipment is operating at full capacity, and more than 6,000 tons of orders are being produced in an orderly manner. Outside the workshop, the new plant for the 2023 provincial key project—an intelligent, green, differentiated nylon fiber production project with an annual output of 120,000 tons—has been capped, and workers are rushing to carry out the construction of production equipment embedded parts and interior decoration.

96 Fine Filaments Combined into One Strand
Ranking fifth in global nylon spinning capacity, maintaining full production and sales for three consecutive years, and exceeding 135,000 tons in 2022... What has enabled Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber, established for 10 years, to win the market? When the reporter posed this question to Zheng Bingzeng, the company's Party Branch Secretary, the answer was two sets of data—an average annual R&D investment of approximately 40 million yuan and equipment investment of over 1 billion yuan in the past 10 years. Emphasizing research and development, innovation, high standards, and high quality are the secrets to Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber's market success.
"We want to make high-end products." From the company's registration and establishment in 2013, Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber set its development path. In that year, the global textile industry was in a slump, and textile companies generally operated below capacity. The founders of Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber realized that people's demand for quality would continue to increase, and the path of selling low-end products based on cost advantages was not viable; they had to take the path of high technology.
The path of high technology requires talent support. In 2015, Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber established a research and development center. Today, the R&D team has nearly 70 people and holds 4 invention patents and 26 utility model patents, ensuring the company's continuous production of high-quality products that lead market demand.
This year, Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber's 'flagship' product, multi-hole fine denier silk, is extremely soft and is mostly used for making intimate apparel. It is made of up to 96 fine filaments combined into one strand, with each 10,000-meter length weighing only 20 grams. Too fine filaments are prone to breakage. How to enhance the product's toughness while maintaining its softness? After months of adjusting equipment and improving processes, the R&D team finally solved this problem after repeated attempts.
The path of high-quality development requires equipment to support it. The production of a single thread involves multiple steps such as feeding, melting, spinning, winding, and texturing, and the equipment required for each step must be first-class.
In 2014, as soon as the factory building was capped, Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber imported a batch of advanced production equipment and testing instruments from countries such as Switzerland and Germany, and is still importing them successively. A new batch of equipment will enter the factory at the end of September. 'A winder the size of half a sofa costs 600,000 yuan, and we now have more than 600 of them,' Zheng Bingzeng gestured on the sofa. 'Importing international first-class equipment, although it requires a large investment, can ensure capacity and quality.'
The Factory Workshop Has a 'Smart Brain'
The front-end workshop machines are running at full speed, and the back-end support system is constantly busy.
The intelligent system automatically monitors the operating status of production equipment in real-time and automatically records production data; combines historical data with specific business requirements to conduct multi-dimensional statistical analysis and provide corresponding optimization suggestions for different products; all data is uploaded to the cloud, ensuring information security while making it convenient for managers to access and make correct decisions in a timely manner... These intelligent production scenarios will soon be realized in Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber's '5G+ Smart Factory.'
Currently, Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber's production workshop is still in the traditional factory mode, and data mainly relies on manual recording and sorting, with accuracy and efficiency not being satisfactory. Data between different devices is not connected, and the 'information silos' make it difficult to respond to sudden failures in the production process in a timely manner. To improve production efficiency and quality and achieve the transformation from 'weaving' to 'intelligent manufacturing,' Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber has launched the '5G+ Smart Factory' project, which is based on 5G technology and uses CPS (Cyber-Physical Systems) and production process management systems to create a digital factory, optimize production management costs, and improve production efficiency.
After the smart factory is completed, it is expected that labor costs can be reduced by more than 5%, and finished product stagnant inventory can be reduced by 60%. 'The textile industry is a very traditional industry, and the degree of intelligence is far less than other industries, but we are actively exploring and trying to use '5G+ industrial Internet' to help companies reduce costs and increase efficiency, enhance core competitiveness, and contribute to the high-quality development of the domestic textile and chemical fiber industry,' said Zheng Bingzeng.
At the same time, Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber has also put a lot of effort into building a complete industrial chain. On the construction site across the road from Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber's factory building, the Liurong Sports Apparel Manufacturing Industry Chain Project is in full swing. A building with an area of 9,700 square meters has sprung up, and most of the equipment has been installed. In the completed garment sector incubator, dozens of newly recruited employees are undergoing business training. 'After the project is completed and put into operation, we will truly realize the integrated production of the entire industrial chain from 'spinning-texturing-weaving-dyeing-printing-garment',' Zheng Bingzeng told reporters.
Before the Liurong project is put into operation, Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber mainly produces nylon fiber and does not yet have garment production capabilities. Taking advantage of the Shanghai-Ming cooperation opportunity, Xin Sen Synthetic Fiber, together with Shanghai Utai Garment Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Misha Technology Co., Ltd., jointly invested 3.5 billion yuan to build the Liurong project. According to the plan, the project has a total construction area of approximately 305,000 square meters and can achieve an annual output value of 5 billion yuan after reaching full production, providing employment opportunities for 6,000 garment workers.
