Knitting process characteristics

Knitting production is divided into two major categories: weft knitting and warp knitting, according to different process characteristics. In weft knitting production, the yarn can be directly put on the machine for production after it is wound. Each yarn is laid on the needles of the weft knitting machine in a weft direction to form a weft knitted fabric. In warp knitting production, the raw material is wound and warped, and the yarns are arranged in parallel and wound into a warp beam, and then put on the machine for production. The yarns are unwound from the warp beam, and each yarn is laid on one or at most two needles of the warp knitting machine in the longitudinal direction to form a warp knitted fabric. On some knitting machines, there are also methods of combining weft knitting and warp knitting. At this time, two sets of yarns are arranged on the knitting machine, one set is laid according to the warp knitting method, and the other set is laid according to the weft knitting method. The needles form loops with the two sets of yarns together to form a knitted fabric. The loops formed by the same yarn are arranged along the weft direction in the weft knitted fabric, and along the warp direction in the warp knitted fabric.

From 2005 to 2010, the industry's market sales revenue continued to increase, from 200.892 billion yuan in 2005 to 409.737 billion yuan in 2010, with a year-on-year growth rate between 8% and 52%, with the highest being 51.14% and the lowest being 8.63%, with a large difference. The year-on-year growth in 2010 was 23.34%.

With the increase of income of urban and rural residents and the improvement of consumers' taste requirements for clothing, the acceleration of population urbanization and technological drive under the background of the country's expansion of domestic demand and encouragement of consumption will bring opportunities for the development of the knitting industry, making the pulling effect of domestic sales on the growth of the knitting industry more and more important. In addition, the further development of the ASEAN market and the cultivation of new international markets will promote the development of the knitting industry in 2011.

Due to the knitting industry's large dependence on labor, China's low wage costs have obvious advantages. Coupled with China's huge market share and mature technology, most of the global knitting industry will be concentrated in China.
